Upcoming Maintenance: Nutanix Platform and Hardware Firmware Updates
The Infrastructure Services Team from ITC will be performing scheduled updates to the Nutanix server hosting platform, starting on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 8:00 AM and concluding on Sunday, August 24, at 6:00 PM.
This maintenance window now includes:
Firmware updates to Nutanix host hardware
Software updates to the Nutanix AOS (Acropolis Operating System) and AHV (Acropolis Hypervisor) platforms to address several critical areas
These updates are essential for maintaining the security, performance, and long-term stability of the Nutanix virtualization environment, which supports a wide range of administrative and academic services.
There may be intermittent application outages during the upgrade as nodes are rebooted and workloads are migrated. No extended downtime is expected, and services will remain available between host cycles.
