We have been working on replacing the Validation Name and Full Name fields in Planon with a new Full name field, and will be ready to move these changes to production next week.
Currently, Validation Name is not being automatically populated, and the Full Name field cannot be used in reports or filters. The new Full name field is being automatically populated with a user's chosen name, and can be used in reports and filters.
The field and data are already in Planon. We will be making changes to layouts to include the Full name field anywhere there is Person information, as well as to remove the Validation Name and old Full Name fields.
You can preview these changes in our pre-production environment: facilities-pre.dartmouth.edu
If you have any reports that rely on the data from the Validation Name field, please update these reports to use the Full name field.
